Taxes Stay UP in Waynesboro.

Many Waynesboro real estate owners will see a bigger tax bill next year.

City council voted three to two Tuesday night to keep the tax rate at 70 cents after voting down a proposal to lower it to 67 cents. That lower rate would have offset an average 5.2 percent reassessment increase.

But the city would have needed to cut another $600,000 from the budget.

PERFECT TIME FOR TAXES TO STAY UP.

Can You Say FORECLOSURES???
