A local businessman is trying to win approval from Augusta County to build Valley Xtreme Sports Park in Greenville. A public informational meeting will be held tonight, May 15, at 7 pm at Riverheads High School.
The Board of Zoning Appeal will be in attendance and others are welcome to attend to hear from the developers as they address economic growth, job opportunities, and all aspects of what will be inside the park.

I wish the best to the people who are trying to bring this forward. This racing and off road facility has the potential to provide lots of great family fun not to mention a great alternative to gangs and drug activity. This type of honest competition fosters some of the best that can come from our youth as well as giving us older types (but only slightly)a great and appropriate place to have a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteI hope all goes well for them, and who now, the Augusta Water Cooler might even get back into it. For those who didn't know I grew up racing amateur motorcross and it's lots of fun.
