NBC-29 in Charlottesville talks about Dem Negative Ads

Dissecting Democrats' Negative Radio Ads
All three Democratic gubernatorial candidates are running radio ads in cities across the Commonwealth. Depending on who you talk to, the ads are negative attacks or ways for the candidates to set the record straight.
The first volley in this war of words came from Terry McAuliffe's campaign. Its ad questioned how the General Assembly dealt with high-interest lenders.
"In these tough economic times, the legislature is finally working towards fixing this problem," the ad says. "But why has it taken so long to stop these lenders from preying on Virginia's most vulnerable families?"
Insiders say the ad was targeting Democrats in the legislature, including Creigh Deeds. It prompted a quick shot back at McAuliffe from Deeds' team.
"He's even attacking Mark Warner and Tim Kaine's record in a new radio ad," Deeds' ad says. It goes on to say that "McAuliffe wants you to believe Warner, Kaine and Democrats in the legislature went easy on those payday lending companies."
